This year’s conference will be followed by a 4 day Leadership Workshop. We are excited to announce that Sherri Warner Hunter will be giving concrete and mosaic sculpture workshops this year. She will be leading the team in the creation of a work of art for the Communidad Maya Pixan Ixim in South Omaha. Read more about Sherri and the Mayan Community of Omaha in the links below. Tom Arie Donch of Interplay Designs, Sam Kornhauser of Schoolworks, and other longtime CBA members will lead sessions in grant writing, project planning, creative design, and community leadership. You will also learn methods in concrete sculpture, mural painting, mosaic art, and more.
Participants and mentors will stay together at the Columban Fathers Retreat Center in Bellevue, NE. The property is surrounded by beautiful forests and meditative walking trails. Food and lodging is included in the cost of the Leadership Workshop. Transportation between conference site, job sites, and the retreat center will be provided.
